Connecting with guests for me is all about making them feel relaxed and heard.
Greet them with a smile and a calm tone.
Pay attention to their responses, and watch body language.Repeat back their needs to ensure understanding.
My secret to creating a serene treatment atmosphere is grounding myself before each session so I can embody calm presence, then welcoming clients into a softly lit, uncluttered space infused with warmth, gentle tones, and mindful intention where every breath, gesture, and silence communicates safety, acceptance, and peace.
I stay grounded and energized throughout the day by beginning each morning with a few moments of mindful stillness to center my breath and intention, then pacing my sessions with gentle pauses to release others’ energy and return to my own rhythm. I nourish myself with steady hydration, movement, and nourishing food, and I consciously reset between clients, sometimes through deep breaths, or a step outside for fresh air. Throughout the day, I remind myself to soften my shoulders, feel my feet on the ground, and reconnect with my “why”the quiet purpose that fuels my work. By ending the day with reflection or gratitude, I can let go of what isn’t mine to carry and restore the calm, steady energy I want to offer tomorrow.
My favorite treatment to receive is a full body scrub followed by a massage. The scrub feels like a symbolic reset it refreshes both body and mind by releasing what no longer serves me and the massage that follows allows me to sink into deep relaxation and renewal. Together, they leave me feeling balanced, clear, and reconnected to myself.
Working at The Wheatbaker Spa inspires me every day because it’s more than just a beautiful environment ,it’s a space where genuine care and artistry come together. The atmosphere encourages mindfulness, attention to detail, and a deep respect for each guest’s wellbeing. Being part of a team that values excellence and serenity motivates me to keep growing in my craft and to offer each client a treatment that truly restores them. There’s a sense of calm sophistication here that reminds me why I chose this path to help people feel renewed, both inside and out.
The sound that instantly relaxes me is soothing instrumental music layered with natural elements like flowing water or soft rainfall. It creates a serene atmosphere that mirrors the calm energy I love to cultivate in spa treatments peaceful, grounding, and deeply restorative.
I am guided by the phrase, ‘Treat others as you would want to be treated.’ In my work, this means offering care with empathy, patience, and attentiveness noticing not just what a guest or client says, but what they truly need, and creating a space where they feel seen, safe, and nurtured.
I define self-care as intentionally creating moments to recharge and reconnect with yourself, even amid a hectic schedule. It’s not just about occasional treats or indulgences, but about cultivating habits that support your mental, emotional, and physical wellbeing.
One hidden wellness ritual I love recommending is a warm, mindful foot soak with calming herbs or essential oils. It’s simple, yet deeply restorative.Soaking your feet while focusing on slow, intentional breathing can release tension, ground your energy, and help you transition from a busy day into a state of calm. It’s a small ritual that nourishes both body and mind, and guests often find it surprisingly rejuvenating.
If my hands could tell a story, they would speak of care, presence, and connection. They would tell of the countless moments spent helping others release tension, find comfort, and feel renewed.
