What inspired me is my skill in interacting with people and passion for assisting guests with queries and requests as well as creating a warm welcome and providing exceptional customer service experience.
I've been working in guest services for over 7 years.
And so far, it's been an amazing journey trying to help guests get value for their money
As a spa receptionist in hospitality, the most enjoyable part of the job is ensuring a warm welcome for guests providing exceptional customer service while focusing on creating a serene ambiance, handling queries, and making sure every visitor feels relaxed and pampered from the moment they step in. It's all about delivering a tranquil experience!
To ensure guests get comfortable from the moment they step in the spa, I ensure they are welcomed warmly which creates a friendly and relaxing atmosphere the moment they arrive.
I also give prompt acknowledgement of their presence and make use of personal touches i.e I try as much as possible to address them by their names which I must have gotten from old records or through their bookings and making a brief comment about their previous treatment (s). This makes them feel more assured that they are in safe hands; the ones that pay attention to every tiny detail.
I also ensure to do proper follow-up and get feedback on their spa experience
My favorite part of the spa journey is listening to guests requests & needs, proferring solutions and seeing them feeling satisfied and happy after their visits
I handle busy days by planning ahead.
I keep the spa, especially the reception and waiting area as organized and calm as possible. I don't want the guests to come in and feel there's chaos.
I communicate with my team to keep them in the loop about the situation and what to expect.
Because every guest is unique, I try to personalize their experience to make them feel valued and appreciated even on our busiest days.
Excellent customer service for me means being the first point of contact and setting a positive tone for the organization.
While ensuring warm welcoming, attentiveness, effective communication, follow-up and feedback so as to give a positive impression and build guest's trust and confidence
I help guests choose the right treatment for their needs by gaining their confidence and trust through the warm welcome they get the moment they step in.
As a spa receptionist, I'm familiar with and understand the spa menu, which helps me to give a proper guide on the suitable treatment(s) guests can get that will handle their needs and expectations after listening and accessing their spa goals
What makes the WheatBaker Spa a special place to work is the friendly and helpful environment it creates as well as the warm reception I got right from the first day of my resumptions at the prestigious organization.
